You can customize your Pokeit HUD with a wide variety of statistics, colors and filters. Let’s take a look at how to do it:
Choosing HUD stats
By default, your HUD starts out with the following 7 default statistics:
- VPIP: Voluntarily put money in pot pre-flop
- PFR: Pre-flop raise percentage
- WMSD: Won money at showdown
- 3Bet: Pre-flop 3-Bet percentage
- Hands: Number of hands played
- SQZ: Squeeze play percentage
- F3Bet: Fold to 3-bet percentage pre-flop
You can choose from 64 pre-built statistics or create your own using the Pokeit formula builder. To change your HUD statistics, open the Pokeit HUD menu and select “Configure HUD”.
You can click on any statistic to select a new one from the dropdown. New statistics can be added to the end of each row by clicking on the plus button. Moving or removing a stat can be done by clicking on the options button. The color of your stats can be changed from this menu as well.
Setting HUD filters
Another important aspect of configuring your HUD is deciding what data should go into your statistics. For instance, if you’re playing cash games, would you want to include hands from tournaments as well. Do you want to mix together Heads-Up stats with full ring? Since the answer to both these questions is probably "No", you'll want to set up HUD filters to fix this.
HUD filters are how you make sure your HUD is only including data relevant to the hand you’re currently playing. When a particular HUD filter is set, it means the HUD will only include statistics from hands that match that filter. For example, if you add "Game" as a filter, and you’re playing Omaha, your statistics will be based on the Omaha hands in your database only. There are twenty filters you can choose from and here are the defaults:
Type | Cash game or Tournament hands |
Game | Hold'em, 7-Card Stud, Badugi, etc. |
Limit Type | No-Limit, Pot-Limit, Limit |
Seats | Number of players at the table (Note: there is a 1-hand lag for this filter) |
Other filters you can choose from include Seats Range (HU, 2-6 players, 7-10 players), Max Seats, Big Bet, and more.
Multiple HUD Profiles
The Pokeit HUD supports multiple HUD profiles. You can switch your active profile from the "Select HUD" sub-menu or you can set up the Pokeit HUD to select which profile to use automatically with the Dynamic HUD feature.
Once a profile has been selected, you can edit it by selecting the menu item "Configure HUD...". From the Configure HUD popup, you can switch between your profiles from the dropdown at the top. It's also from this dropdown where you can choose to create new profiles or delete ones you're no longer using.
Styling Your HUD
The appearance of your HUDs can be customized from the HUD Style dialog. This dialog is accessible from either the Main menu or from any HUD’s menu under “Hud Style”. Changes made to the styling of your HUDs are common across all the profiles you create. The following options are available:
Description | |
---|---|
Background Color | Choose from 27 different colors including black, lime green, powder blue, or mauve |
Background Opacity | HUD boxes can be see-through, solid or somewhere in-between |
Drop Shadows | Include drop shadows on your stats to have them pop up slightly off the screen |
Font Size | Use a small font to pack a lot of stats in a tiny space, or choose a big one if you can’t find your glasses |
Stat Spacing | Should stats be horizontally squished together or spread out inside the hudbox? |
Row Spacing | The vertical spacing between rows of stats can also be set |
As an example, the HUD appearance can be set to be very small and compact, allowing for many stats to be added to a HUD. Additionally, a very minimal "vertical" HUD can be made.
Another example: using very large settings in the HUD appearance window can create a large-size HUD that is easy on the eyes and hard to miss important data while you're playing.
