PokerStars Guide

Pokeit works by reading the hand histories PokerStars saves on your computer and uploading them into your account via the Pokeit client. Here are the steps for configuring PokerStars so that it can work with Pokeit:

Hand Histories

You'll need to set up PokerStars to save hand histories to your computer in order for Pokeit to work. Here are the steps:

1. From the PokerStars lobby, click on Settings > Playing History > Hand History
2. Check 'Save My Hand History'
3. Make note of the location on your computer where PokerStars will be saving hands so you can add that folder to Pokeit later
4. Under Language, make sure English is selected
5. Click OK to confirm your changes

Tournament Summaries

If you play tournaments, you'll also need to have PokerStars save the results of those tournaments to your computer. Without these tournament summary files, Pokeit will not be able to accurately report your tournament results. 

1. From the PokerStars lobby, click on Settings > Playing History > Tournament Summaries
2. Check 'Save My Tournament Summaries'
3. Make note of the location on your computer where PokerStars will be saving tournament summaries so you can add that folder to Pokeit later
4. Under Language, make sure English is selected
5. Click OK to confirm your changes

Language

You can run the rest of PokerStars in a language besides English. The only things that need to be in English are the hand history and tournament summary files PokerStars saves to your computer.

Preferred Seating

You can set a preferred seat in PokerStars so you're always in the same location at the table. Here's how to do it:

1. From the PokerStars lobby, click Settings > Table Appearance > Preferred Seat
2. You can select 'Always Auto-Center' to always have your seat in the bottom center
3. Alternatively, you can select a preferred seat by clicking on the seat in each table layout displayed below

If you do set a preferred seat, either manually or via the auto-center, you'll need to set that same seat as a 'favorite' while using the HUD. To do so, simply right click on the HUD closest to your position at the table and select 'Set as Favorite Seat'
